OPERATION OLYMPIC GAMES

It began with a highly sophisticated worm.

Initiated by the Bush Administration, in collaboration with 
the Israeli Government, a covert project to damage Iranian nuclear facilities (code named “Olympic Games”) was deployed in 2008. When a security breach unleashed the virus, it was picked up on the Internet and the era of Stuxnet began. It is the nature and ramifications of Stuxnet, the first weapon made entirely out of code, that I find most troubling.

With scant journalistic coverage, the general public is unaware that a cyber weapon has been created, mutated and rendered more virulent than any malware thus known. 

Art has always been a force that counterbalances the political storyline, perhaps most importantly in times of war. Cyber warfare is bereft of images and exposure.

If you can’t see the destruction, it is impossible to connect with the violence.
