Buried In The Sky, 2014

Buried in the Sky is an interactive light installation. Inspired by a NASA image of the Big Bang, I created a three layer plexiglass sculpture and laser cut holes on each layer intending to classify stars based on their spectral characteristics. LED lights in three distinct colors accurately depict red dwarfs, main sequence, super giants stars. Fiber optic lights were added to imply the dense nebulae where stars are produced, or rather born.
